Why buy a laptop when you have a destop? ?

I am a freshman in high school. I have a gaming desktop in my room, but I neveR move it. I'm constantly going places, and my parents are divorced so when I go to my moms there's no computer. Can someone give pros and cons of buying a laptop for me, for school too, as I can bring it to school or the library if I need too.

Tldr, pros and cons of buying a laptop when I already have a desktop.

Btw if I got a laptop it would be a hp envy 14Why buy a laptop when you have a destop? ?
I thought a laptop would be nice but now I wish I had bought second desktop. In fact I did buy a second deaktop last month because using the laptop at home (where I am 99% of the time) is a PITA.

But to each his own.
What you have said would already answer for yourself.

In your situation, having a laptop would be great due to your usual movement patterns.

The only bad thing for your situation is the fact you need to buy something again.

Having a laptop and desktop is not something to be weird about.

Instead it can help do things more efficiently.

E.g.

Gaming wise would be to use the desktop.

Storage without a doubt would be the desktop again but an external one can be bought for your laptop for transferring of data from desktop to laptop, or even vice versa

Work/Study is common for using laptop as you can move it around.

This allows you to have different things dedicated to your different needs. Why buy a laptop when you have a destop? ?
Laptops:

Pros-small and mobile, monitors included

Cons-Battery life is not long if not plugged in, may not have all functions of desktop

Neutral- mousepad, which can be good or bad depending on your preference

Desktops:

Pros-possibly more functionality than laptops

Cons-Needs a monitor, big and immobile
