The Pavilion is probably the better choice for gaming.

For one, its cheaper. It also has the same processor as the ENVY, and the same amount of RAM.

The real difference is in the GPU, and the screen. The Pavilion has a significantly larger screen, and a better screen resolution. The GPU is also better in the Pavilion, as indicated by the benchmarks down in the source section.

Initially you might see the higher number on the ENVY's graphics card and think it's better, but it's just a newer low-end model, whereas the Pavilion has an older, but higher-end model that will perform better.

The Pavilion also has the same Beats sound system as the ENVY, and more HDD space: 1TB.

I can't really see any reason to buy the ENVY over the Pavilion for gaming unless you really want to pay $200 extra and sacrifice power for a Beats logo on your laptop.What laptop will be better for gaming ?

The second one, the Envy, has a slighly better graphics card. Other than that, the two are very similar gaming wise.
