HP Envy 14 or 17? Which laptop for college?

I was going to get the Hp Envy 15 laptop for college, but then I realized that the 14 and 17 have made significant improvements to the laptop- such as heating issues and trackpad issues. However, the 15.6 inch was the perfect screen size for me.

I would like to have the improvements of the 14 and 17, but I don't know which one to buy. The 14.5 inch seems too small and the 17 inch is too big and takes up too much battery. Should I just go with the 15 inch and have overheating issues or suck it up with the 14.5 inch and have a small screen or just have the 17 inch with bad battery life?HP Envy 14 or 17? No, whatever you do-DO NOT get the HP Envy 15. It has far more issues than just the overheating, such as hard drive problems, no backlit keyboard, and screen quality.

That being said, the HP Envy 14 is not small, and you will easily get used to the screen size. Trust me, I've had friends go from 20 inch computer screens to 13 in Macs.

And since I brought up the topic of Macs, if you have $1500 to spend, get the Macbook Pro 15in. It has great battery life, decent setup, and fits your screen need.

Personally, I would NOT get a Mac, they are overpriced, I mean, Core 2 Duo for $1500? Really? So, bear in mind you will be sacrificing some performance if you do get the Mac.
I would value the quality of the laptop itself way more than the screen size.HP Envy 14 or 17? Which laptop for college?
Portability is key. 17 inch laptops are akward to carry around.

My personal favourite is a 12 inch laptop with a 8 hour battery life.
Dude get the 14" one especially for college.I have a M1330 xps 13" n i use it 24*7.No eye strain,gr8 portability,gr8 battery life.Screen is d highestpower consuming part in a laptop.So if u can get a smaller screen ,dat will save ya a lot of battery life!N a laptop is meant to b portable,17" is wayy outta question.Get a 14" one n u will b happy.I bet u will njoy its portability.Hope i helped u!
