Should I get the HP Envy 14 or Macbook Pro?

In terms of sheer power, the HP Envy annihilates the 13 inch and still costs less. Against the 15" model, the Envy is about neck and neck. The real thing that separates them is the fact that the envy as a 6630M where as the Mac has a 6490M/6750M. Just keep in mind that whether you get the lower end mac or the premium, you will still be paying %26gt;50% of the cost if you go with HP.



If you like to game a lot, then your best option will be to go with either the premium Mac (if you can afford it). If you feel like saving ~$800 and buy other cool things with it, get the HP. Contrary to what people believe, the Envy in a premium computer and for it you will get premium support unlike what most other HP laptops get.



If horsepower is not your thing then maybe the easiest thing to do would be to go with the lower end Mac because though it may cost more, it is a simple quick decision for which you don't have to mess around with choosing the parts. Mac OS X is generally smoother than Windows (if a bit harder to master) and is probably a really good reason to get the Mac if it's only for ordinary use.

HP Envy 14 -1260SE is lovely product, i am enjoying every bit of it. i would have rated it a five, only i was a lil bit disappointed with the size. i tot it was gonna be slightly bigger. the only reason i didnt return it is cos i shipped it already to Nigeria. the keyboard is excellent. i dont know wat people are saying about the touchpad, i have no problems with it at all. if u want a functional laptop that aint too big nor too small, u got the choice here. The beats logo in front doesn't light up, wish it did.
