I want and need to get a new computer. I still have an old computer from 2007 that runs Windows XP. And at first, I was sure I wanted a MacBook Pro. It looks very sleek and professional, a great backlit keyboard and a fantastic operating system. But recently, I came across another computer, the HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition. It pretty much is similar to the MacBook Pro in design. But obviously a different Operating System.
Now I'm torn between the two. Both are over $1000, so matching the prices won't work, money isn't a problem anyway. Both seem to have a nice, sleek design w/ a backlit keyboard, which I love. And both are running new and a better operating system than XP.
I use programs such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Sony Vegas and Photoshop. These run slowly on my current computer. I heard they run smooth on a MacBook Pro and I'm pretty sure they do too on the HP.
But really, I don't know!! Can anyone help and suggest what I should do?MacBook Pro 2011 vs HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition?
Macbook because on macbook you have the mac os and you can also run windows legally.
It's hard to run mac os on a pc and if you do, it's considered illegal and you'll have a hard time getting it fixed.
so go for the mac so you aren't limited to just the one operating system (:MacBook Pro 2011 vs HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition?
Well, hp envy is probably cheaper, i'm sure from prior knowledge they would both have the same processors, but the envy 14 I believe has the ati radeon 5650. Always a plus if you want to run something gpu intensive. I also tend to like windows more, but that's a preference for me. Yes, mac has always had the prestiege of running better on photo editing and what not. I don't know what way you are leaning, but get which one you want, because all you are really going to get on here are contradictory statements between both brands and their operating systems.
