HP Envy 14 Beats or Dell XPS 15z?

ok, I can't decide which to get.

both have great specs, battery lives, proccessors (both sandy bridge 2nd gen intel core) etc,etc....

what is making this difficult for me is this.

the XPS 15z has a 1920x1080 screen while the Envy 14 has a 1366x768 screen.

the reason I don't want to go for the xps 15z is because the envy 14 beats is so damn sexy! i mean, a black matte-like finish all over and then red backlit keyboard and it has a sturdier design overall.

should I sacrifice good looks for a better screen or vice versa?

I don't know if screen resolution is that important to me, I will be using it for schoolwork, college, light gaming(league of legends-level), some video editing with premiere pro cs5 and possibly after effects.

keep in mind the envy 14 offers quad-core while the xps 15z doesn't.

HELP! I need your opinions, some pros and cons etc etc.HP Envy 14 Beats or Dell XPS 15z?
I'm extremely happy I went with the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition laptop. I'm not one of those people that, when they need a new laptop, just runs to Staples and gets a crappy $400 laptop. But I'm also not one of those people who has the money to go to the apple store to get a $2000 laptop.

After doing some research on the net I found that this is one of the few laptops in market which is comparable to macbook in terms of looks. But the caveat is that its quite heavy(5.8 lbs) and the battery backup is around 2 hours with power save settings.

But the laptop is excellent in terms of heating since its very low , much better than any other laptops I have used in past.

Overall for the configuration, looks ,performance and price I have to say that it is "ENVY" of all the other laptops in market.
hey borns, the $400 crappy laptop from staples would probably outperform the $2000 dollar macbook :)

HP Envy 14-1260SE

Best laptop ive bought! awesome colors powerful sleek and has amazing audio tech. the battery life isnt super good but its not such a big problem since the power adapter is slim and easy to travel with.
I would suggest HP Envy 14.
