In my own opinion yes,since the 720p has a resolution of 1280x720p and the resolutions of 1366x900 and 1366x736 is higher so yes it can play 720p videos really well...
I just want to be sure as am buying a camera that records in 720p so i want a laptop that can support the resolution

You are confusing resolution with being able to view something at 100% with no spill off the screen.
How much can you view normally? Can you view 10+ megapixel images without having to zoom out? If you can't, then you would need more resolution, right? No. It's the same concept and proves my point, so get either one. Most videos do not suffer image quality loss if the source file is good, and besides that codecs and renderers of today are advanced enough that minimal loss of quality will be experienced on blow up, also take into account people watch videos at a distance so any flaws will appear to be less.
